Okay, so we’re more than halfway through the hour-long session and Spirit is moving on. Now, we were ready to shuffle some tarot cards and— Wait, Numerology?!
I was not expecting anything related to numerology nor was that mentioned to my husband Stephen when he booked the appointment. Casey had not expressed that she was a numerologist on her website.
The basic idea behind numerology is that numbers have unique vibrations that can reveal information about a person's personality and future.
Numerologists often calculate "life path numbers" based on a person's name and birth date. These numbers are said to give insight into a person's strengths, weaknesses and destiny.
While numerology has been around for centuries and is practiced by many, it's not considered a science by mainstream academics and skeptics (aka Scullys).
But I get it. Numerology can be a tool for self-discovery and personal growth. Others see it as a form of divination.
Me? I saw it as an obstacle more than anything during my session. I was definitely ready to call it a day at this point.
After giving her my birthday, again, Casey made her calculations.
“You’re a Big 3.”
I pretty much just nodded at this. While I had done this before on my own, I’d clearly absorbed none of the information.
“You’re like the Ultimate 3. Threes always argue with me and they are the only number that does because they're always like, ‘I'm not like that, but threes are. They love to be the center of attention.’”
Attention replenishes my electrolytes, Casey. I’m a creative, don’t judge me.
I received two PDFs a day later from Casey. Each was 14 pages long.
The first document stated that I have a strong and practical side that is interested in the business world and material activities. I'm also free-spirited and adventurous, seeking freedom and avoiding restraints. Balancing both aspects is important.
I possess social and creative abilities, which bring me joy in life's pleasures. People appreciate my openness, humor, and warmth. However, when I’m moody, I need to work on being more open.
My work ethic and leadership skills are strong, and I have a knack for achieving material success. However, I need to manage my personal finances and believe in my abilities.
I really don’t understand why Casey harped on my name, but I guess it literally adds up when it comes to numerology. My current name makes me more capable and self-sufficient.
Let’s see, what else? Oh! I value relationships with those close to me, but… you know, who doesn’t?
I'm friendly, affectionate and generous with my time and resources. This gal is always ready to offer help and comfort— which is accurate.
Casey harped on my life soon moving more to the metaphysical during the tarot portion— I will get into this more in a future post. The numerology apparently confirms that by saying I may become more aware of spiritual matters and their importance in my daily life by mid-life.
I'll be focusing on security, stability, and developing the material side of my life. Family and close relationships will be important, and I'll have responsibilities to fulfill. I'm known for being helpful and sympathetic to others.
As I've matured, I've learned to balance my practical and enthusiastic sides, finding satisfaction in pursuing my ambitions while embracing variety and excitement. I now feel independent and free in my actions and choices.
The second document was a yearly report starting from April of this year to March of 2024. It went from month to month and basically just read like a horoscope. I’m not a big fan of horoscopes, especially ones that are 14 (28 total) pages long.
I have a 6 Personal Year in 2023 and… I still fully don’t know what that means outside what the document tells me.
Honestly? I couldn’t make sense of a lot of this because it just wasn’t broken down to be palatable.
When I decided to write about my experience, I tried to break down the two documents, but… it was somehow too much and not enough.
Next post will be about tarot!
