My husband Stephen and I really don’t do much for the 4th of July.
Rooftop Cinema was something we’d attempted before but the movie got called because of a thunderstorm. Luckily, we were able to transfer our tickets and offset some of the cost toward something special they had for the 4th.
For the special event, our tickets got us live music, BBQ, 1996’s Independence Day and the promise of fireworks.
The food wasn’t too bad.
I was able to snag the one table that had some shade.
The movie itself was pretty quiet because we were all supplied with headphones.
This was pretty cool, but it got a little sweaty because of the weather.
We watched the first half of the movie and were told there would be an intermission for fireworks.
The firework part? I have ZERO pics of because we could barely see them. I feel like that was an overpromise/underdeliver there.
Would I go again? Yes.
Would I go again for the 4th? Not if I want to see fireworks.
